In Transit

As many of you know, my husband and I have been traveling for the past month or so, indulging in our postponed honeymoon/his bar trip to Budapest, Vienna, and Prague. I meant to post some pictures along the way but forgot to bring my USB cable (womp womp) so begins a series of photo essays that will take you (and us…in total denial that vaca is over) back to the whirlwind Eastern European adventure. They won’t be necessarily in a chronological order as am sifting through over 1,200 images (thank you, Panasonic and Leica) - don’t worry, I won’t make you sit through all of it.

I haven’t done a long distance trip in a few years, so it felt a bit jarring to my system. The brilliant minds at the Frankfurt airport seemed to understand travel fatigue well, as they have built reclining chairs where those in transit could take a cat nap! My only worry would be sleeping through the connecting flight, waking up to find self in a pool of drool.

Traveling can be hard on pilots and flight attendants too, as can be seen in the following picture.

Actually, I thought it was funny that there were more airline employees than passengers in the waiting area for our Budapest flight. Is that a sign??! Fortunately for us, Budapest turned out to be a delightful destination. More on that in future posts…
